Presentation and update regarding Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan open house that was held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
Staff and the Project Consultant team is pleased to announce the public review of the Full Draft Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan! This milestone represents the culmination of more than a year of collaborative planning, visioning, and community input. The Full Draft Comprehensive Plan has also been updated to reflect the community feedback received to this date, including comments received from the June 16 Community Open House, the Steering Committee, and the online feedback form. Once adopted, the Comprehensive Plan will provide a foundation for decision-making and help guide where the Town wants to be in the future. It provides goals for Sunnyvale and recommendations to help the community get there.
This Draft Comprehensive Plan builds on the Core Elements, incorporating new chapters including the Introduction, Community Profile, and Implementation. The Introduction and Community Profile incorporates all the public input and research compiled throughout the planning process to introduce the Plan and provide a community profile. The Implementation chapter translates the Plan’s recommendations into direct action, outlining specific steps, potential funding sources, and other implementation methods to assist the Town in achieving the Comprehensive Plan’s long-term vision.

We are pleased to inform that a successful Community Open House was held on Tuesday, September 22, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Town Hall Council Chambers. The event was well attended. If anyone missed the Open House, they can fill out a comment card on the project website and provide input.
