POLICY ISSUE:
Based on Ordinance No. 20554, the Affordable Housing Trust Fund was established to encourage and support the acquisition, rehabilitation, and development of affordable housing.

BACKGROUND:
The Affordable Housing Trust Fund issued it's first Request for Proposals on February 2, 2026. Three projects were awarded funding for a total amount of $931,947.50. The projects will create, preserve, or rehabilitate up to 229 housing units.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
The fund currently has a balance of $319,557.07.
SOURCE OF FUNDING:
The funding for the current and any additional projects will come from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
