Acceptance of recreation department sponsorships
To adopt Resolution 26-77 accepting sponsorships for recreation programs
In accordance with Minnesota Statute §465.03, the City of Shoreview may accept gifts and donations for the benefit of its residents, provided such gifts are approved by the City Council through resolution and are used in accordance with any specified terms set by the donor.
In 2025, the Recreation Department launched a new sponsorship program designed to help offset costs associated with community recreation programming. As part of this initiative, the city has received a sponsorship contribution from the following organization: Shoreview/Arden Hills Lions.
Shoreview/Arden Hills Lions provided a bronze level sponsorship of $250 in support of the Family Fun Night event that was held in July 2026. The donation went to support the inflatable that was at the event.
We recommend that the City Council adopt Resolution 26-77, accepting the sponsorships for the recreation programs and expressing appreciation to the Shoreview/Arden Hills Lions.
