Adopting a Resolution accepting a second donation from Toni Erwin on behalf of Kertis Stensrud's family in the amount of $1,000.
Toni Erwin, in memory of Kertis Stensrud have donated a second time, in the amount of $1,000 to the Rochester Fire Department. Mr. Stensrud was killed in a construction accident on May 31, 2026, when a deep trench he was working in collapsed.
Acceptance will increase revenue to the RFD budget in the amount of $1,000 which can offset expenses incurred by the department.
No prior legislative actions directly related to this contract have occurred. Minnesota state statutes 465.03 and 471.17 allow acceptance of gifts of this type to municipalities.
The donation will lessen the fiscal impact of annual expenses in the overall RFD budget.
