Priorities & Foundational Principles:
Quality Services for Quality Living
Fiscal Responsibility & Sustainability
Policy Considerations & DEI Impact:

Assessing residents for unpaid special charges requires a public hearing so that residents may be heard regarding the assessed fees or regarding the work that was completed in relation to the affected property.

Prior Legislative Actions & Community Engagement:

No prior legislative actions and community engagement.

Fiscal & Resource Impact:

This assessment process functions as a reimbursement mechanism for the City related to completing special charges related to code enforcement. There is no City budget for these charges; therefore, lack of reimbursement would have a negative impact on City departmental operating budgets.

Alternative Action(s):

No alternative actions are suggested at this time.
