Approve the purchase and installation of replacement boilers at the First Street Ramp with Gilbert Mechanical Contractors, LLC. in the amount of $99,245.
The current boilers are beyond their useful life and have required constant maintenance and repairs the last two winter seasons. Replacing the boilers with high efficiency boilers will decrease on-going utility costs and maintenance costs. Staff obtained two quotes for the replacement and installation of two boilers, with Gilbert Mechanical submitting the lowest quote.
The project is expected to be complete by the end of November.
This purchase supports the strategic priority of Fiscal Responsibility & Sustainability and Quality Services.
No prior legislative actions & community engagement.
Unrestricted retained earnings of the Parking Enterprise Fund will be used for this purchase.
