A MOTION TO APPROVE a request from the Narragansett Chamber of Commerce to partner with the Parks and Recreation Department in hosting the 6th annual Holiday Street Faire on December 5, 2026, at 170 Clarke Rd. Narragansett, RI, subject to state and local regulations.
This request is for the 6th annual Holiday Street Faire to be held at 170 Clarke Rd. the home of the Parks and Recreation Department. Like previous years, the goal of this event is to offer an enjoyable outside event for Narragansett residents and families that promotes local businesses, artisan vendors and the beautiful property at Parks and Recreation. The recreation building will be decorated with bistro lighting and heated for vendor displays and sellable wares. Outdoor booths strategically positioned to resemble an “outdoor marketplace” will be set up in the field between the Parks and Recreation office and recreation building with lighting strung throughout the field. There will be children’s activities, shopping, food trucks, music, hot and cold beverages and Santa throughout the day. The Clarke Center will be used for live music and refreshments. Transportation will be provided from the Scarborough Beach parking lot to Clarke Rd. with handicapped parking designated in front of the Parks and Recreation office. A police detail will be hired to assist with traffic management. All appropriate and required licenses will be in place prior to the event.
