A MOTION TO APPOINT one (1) member to the Planning Board for a 5-year term effective November 2, 2026 and is set to expire on November 1, 2031.
The Narragansett Planning Board is responsible for the preparation and extension to the Comprehensive Plan for the improvement and physical development of the Town and for the regulation and approval of platting and subdivision of land within the Town. The Planning Board is composed of five members serving 5-year terms. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM. There is one available seat for appointment for a 5-year term effective November 2, 2026 and is set expire on November 1, 2031.
On October 8, 2026 a work session was held to interview the following applicants:
- Walter Manning
- Leslie McKnight (Zoning Board)
According to the Council rules for commission, committee and board appointments, all new vacancies on the Planning or Zoning Boards will require that the Town Council interview those candidates. Individuals currently serving on these Boards need not be interviewed when applying for reappointment to a successive term on the same Board.
