On August 27, 2026, the Village Council approved the Master Contract Agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide continuing professional engineering services to the Village.
On September 21, 2026 Kimley-Horn submitted a proposal in the amount of $1,468,470.00 to provide technical services during construction for the Water Treatment Plant Improvements. The Village submitted the proposal and supporting documentation to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) program for review and funding authorization. On September 30, 2026, the Village received a formal correspondence from FDEP authorizing the Village to proceed with the award.
Under this Work Authorization, Kimley-Horn will provide Surficial Aquifer Well and Water Treatment Plant construction administration, permitting, bidding and project management services associated with the Water Treatment Plant Improvements.
These improvements are necessary to maintain the reliability, operational efficiency, and long term sustainability of the Village's water utility infrastructure and to support the continued delivery of safe and dependable potable water to the Village residents and utility customers.
Staff has reviewed the proposal and determined that the proposed fee of $1,468,470.00 is fair and resonable for the scope of services to be provided.
