This agenda item begins the bidding process for the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center RTU Replacement Project. This project generally includes replacement of 2 roof top units (RTU) that serve parts of the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center. One roof top unit serves the gym and the other serves the social hall and the upper-level lobby.
The Robert A. Lee Recreation Center was originally constructed circa 1963. The current RTUs were replaced in 2001 and are at the end of their useful life. The new RTUs will include some slight modifications that should improve current maintenance challenges for the units, such as moving a heating coil for improved access and modifying duct route to enable easier maintenance of a roof drain.
