Action Requested:

Motion to approve the time, date and location for the 2027 annual meeting.

Summary Statement

By motion, the charter commission must establish the time, date and location for its annual meeting in 2027 and for other meetings, if any, that the commission deems appropriate.

Background

The charter commission bylaws currently require that the commission hold its annual meeting in September of each year, on a date selected at the preceding annual meeting. The Minnehaha Room has been reserved for the evenings of Sept. 15, 22, 23, and 29 in 2027, as potential options for the charter commission. The 15th, 22nd, and 29th are Wednesdays and the 23rd is a Thursday. The established meeting time is 6:00 p.m.
