The San Benito County Free Library will be spending the week of October 18-24, 2026 celebrating its Friends of the Library group as part of the annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries Week. For over 40 years, the Friends of the San Benito County Free Library have partnered with the San Benito County Free Library. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of volunteers, the mission of the Friends is to promote the welfare and growth of the library. An important part of the Friends' work is to bring attention to the library's resources and services offered to our community at low to no cost. In addition to the monthly used book sales held on the second Saturday of the month, the Friends look forward to collaborating with the library and the county on the library expansion project.
