AGENDA SECTION:

CONSENT AGENDA

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

In August 2016, the European Grapevine Moth (EGVM) was declared eradicated in California. The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) wishes to contract with counties with commercial grape acreage to perform post-eradication survey. The trapping/monitoring period will run from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Work is performed by existing and seasonal staff. The funding is sufficient to cover our costs, and the anticipated revenue has been budgeted in the Agricultural Commissioner's Budget for FY 26/27.  The Contract was received from CDFA on August 12, 2026. Work on this project began July 1, 2026.  The EGVM Agreement of $16,747.00 is a total of reimbursable funding allowed.  Our department invoices CDFA monthly for expenditures incurred for the program.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No impact to the General Fund. All activities performed are sub vented through the agreement, including 25% administration fee on each invoice.
