REGULAR AGENDA
This workshop is intended to facilitate a public discussion regarding CSAs and CFDs within San Benito County. This workshop is informational in nature and intended to provide the Board of Supervisors and the public with an overview of the structure and operations of the CSAs and CFDs and identify potential areas of future policy consideration and coordination. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for the Board to discuss potential future policy considerations related to the creation, administration, funding, annexation, and long-term sustainability of CSAs and CFDs. No final action or binding decisions are proposed at this time.
The County currently administers multiple CSAs and CFDs that provide a range of services within the various designated areas in the County. These special districts were established at different times and with different statutory authorities, resulting in different varying service levels. The workshop will provide an overview of the various locations, services, current status, and financial mechanism. It will also include a current fund balances.
