1. Approve retroactive non-monetary clinical affiliation agreement with Wilkes University and San Benito County Behavioral Health for a three year term of August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2029 to provide a collaborative internship program for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) interns; and
2. Authorize the Chair, County Executive Officer, or designee to sign.

CONSENT AGENDA
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) intern(s) will support San Benito County Behavioral Health's medical support team of nurses, onsite psychiatrist, and telepsychiatrists. A specific schedule and assignments for the intern(s) will be determined between the program managers for SBCBH and University.
SBCBH continues to struggle with short staffing and expanding on internship collaborations with universities enable the opportunity to reciprocate benefits of having support with workforce as well as providing education and career opportunities for future potential professionals in the health care and behavioral health industries.
The agreement is retroactive to 8/1/26 because it is the start of the academic year. There was a delay in the review and signature processs.
This is a non-monetary affiliation agreement.
