National Auto Fleet Group was the only local fleet supplier that had the police pursuit vehicle the Sheriff’s Office needed available for purchase. The sole source justification was based on the availability of the required vehicle and the vendor’s local accessibility, allowing the Sheriff’s Office to obtain a vehicle that met its operational needs. A Sole Source Justification Form was completed for this purchase.
National Auto Fleet Group also participates in the Sourcewell Government Procurement Program for law enforcement vehicles under Contract #081325-NAF, which expires on November 13, 2029.
On March 16, 2026, the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office purchased a 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe from National Auto Fleet Group. The invoice has not yet been processed for payment because the purchase was initially submitted for CEO authorization. The Sheriff’s Office was subsequently directed to present the purchase to the Board of Supervisors for approval.
The Sheriff’s Office is now seeking Board approval so that the outstanding invoice can be processed for payment.

Funding for the purchase of 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe from National Auto Fleet Group has already been included in the Sheriff’s Office’s approved budget FY 25-26.
