Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) Grant Agreement for DRI Parkland Property
Consider acceptance and authorize entering into agreement for a $500,000 North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) matching grant to assist with the acquisition. On March 3, 2026, the Town Board approved and authorized staff to submit a PARTF grant application for the 37-acre DRI property for parkland acquisition. These grant funds will offset a portion of the property acquisition cost and allow the Town the option to reinvest those funds into future park improvements identified as part of the voter-approved 2024 Park Bonds.
Approve the $500,000 Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) Grant agreement and authorize the Town Manager and Town Attorney to finalize and execute the agreement.
