As part of the City's annual fee schedule review, staff has reviewed the fees associated with Heritage Park. The proposed changes are intended to account for general increases in operating and maintenance costs.
The proposed 2027 fee schedule reflects the following changes from the 2026 fee schedule:
Group Definitions: Staff is proposing to review terminology used to identify the local organization groups. The proposed language continues to include that a damage deposit is required for all rentals. These changes are intended for clarity and to better reflect how the fee schedule is being applied. Due to the terminology possibly affecting how qualifying organizations are interpreted, the language may require legal review.
Pavilion Rental: The proposed pavilion rental fee for 2027 is $110, an increase of $10. The increase is being proposed due to general increases in costs associated with operating and maintaining the amenity.
Field Rentals: For 2027, the proposed fee is an increase to $25 per field, per hour, with a two-hour minimum. The fee reflects the continued use and maintenance of the park's fields.
Lions Field Lights: The proposed fee for use of the lights at Lions Field is shown at $40 per game. This is intended to account for general cost increases associated.
The Heritage Park Building rental fees are being addressed separately and are proposed to be included as part of the October 8, 2026, City Council public hearing related to the required fee schedule amendment.
Staff recommends that the Parks and Trails Commission review the proposed 2027 Heritage Park amenity fee updates and provide any comments or recommendations.
