Staff requests that Council review and consider the attached engineering proposal from Stantec Consulting Services related to the 2023 State Bonding Water Infrastructure - Engineering Design & Bidding Services.

The city has identified the following critical water infrastructure improvements to its water supply, treatment, and storage infrastructure to continue providing safe and reliable drinking water while accommodating future system demands.

• Booster Station (Southeast Service Area) 
• Elevated Water Storage Tower (Southeast Service Area)
• Municipal Well No. 2 & Wellhouse No. 2 (Northeast Service Area)
• Water Treatment Plant Improvements (Northeast Service Area)

The proposed engineering design team's experience and fees align with the recently completed Water Treatment Plant and Tower infrastructure projects in northeast Corcoran.

The city was allocated 2023 Bond-Funded Capital Projects from the State of Minnesota in the amount of $10,000,000 towards the construction of the identified critical water supply infrastructure projects. Design and bidding costs are not eligible for reimbursement.

The Water Fund has sufficient funds to cover the proposed engineering services proposal.
