Each year, the city submits all delinquent recycling service charges to the County for certification. In addition to the outstanding delinquent amount, a $10.00 administrative fee will be added by the City, and the County will apply an additional $2.50 fee upon receipt.
State statutes require the city to hold a public hearing before certifying these assessment rolls to the County. Notices of the public hearing for a special assessment were sent to all delinquent properties on September 15, 2026. A notice of the public hearing was also published in the September 24 edition of the Crow River News and posted on the City’s website. The purpose of the public hearing is to provide residents an opportunity to ask questions and offer comments regarding the proposed assessment.
