Beginning in 2021, the City of Corcoran approved an agreement to provide for mental health services to the Corcoran Police Department.  The purpose of the services is to support officer mental wellness, prevent PTSD, and provide crisis intervention.  As the police department has continued to grow, the needs of these services related to officer wellness have also expanded.  The Police Department has identified a different service provider, LEAST Services/Counseling LLC, to better meet the needs of the growing department.  LEAST Services specializes in supporting law enforcement and other first responder agencies and will be able to provide staff with all of the services listed in the current service agreement. The current service agreement may be terminated with 60 days notice to the provider.  If approved, the new contract with LEAST Services would go into effect on January 01, 2027.

A copy of the proposed contract, which was reviewed by the Corcoran City Attorney, will be attached for review.    

Services from the new provider, LEAST Services/Counseling LLC, in place of the current provider will have a marginal impact within the existing budget, depending on utilization.
