Resolution No. 2023-05 requires City Council consideration for flying commemorative banners and flags on City property when the request is brought forward by the Mayor or a Councilmember. Councilmember Eckert is seeking Council approval to produce Suquamish Banners and fly the banners on city-owned downtown fixtures on or about October 1 - 30, 2026. Estimated cost of banner printing and installation is $2,500 and able to be covered by funding in the Council budget. Suquamish banners would be replaced by existing American Flag banners for the month of November.

Move to approve the printing of Suquamish Banners with up to $2,500 from the Council budget to include printing and installation, and to display the banners on downtown city-owned fixtures from October 1-30, 2026 and then to be replaced by the American Flag Banners in honor of Veterans' Day through November 30, 2026.
