SUMMARY STATEMENT
| In February 2026, the Poulsbo Police Department was awarded a Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) Traffic Safety Grant in the amount of $2,300 for the purchase of one traffic radar unit. The grant was awarded, in part, due to the department's ongoing participation in Washington Traffic Safety Commission impaired driving and speed enforcement emphasis patrols, as well as its continued support of statewide traffic safety initiatives, projects, and programs. The traffic radar unit was received in mid-April 2026 and placed into active service in May 2026. This budget amendment recognizes the grant revenue received and the corresponding expenditure within the 2026 budget. |
