Give Acts of Kindness is proposing to operate a shower and laundry trailer at Southside Park on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The trailer will be fully staffed by trained volunteers who will oversee operations, assist guests, and ensure the area remains clean, safe, and organized throughout the day.
They are requesting we waive the fees for:
Water service for shower and laundry operations
Electrical service to power equipment and support trailer functions
Drainage access for proper wastewater disposal
Any fee waiver would impact the General Fund. The exact fiscal impact is unknown, but it's not expected to be significant.
