The City has received the 95% design plans for the third phase of Flying Fortress Parkway. Stormwater detention or retention is required to maintain pre-existing downstream flow conditions. This report will present two options. Option A is the current design, which includes a series of 15 detention basins adjacent to the parkway in the road right-of-way. Option B would be to construct stormwater detention upstream of the parkway on donated land.
There could be a cost impact to the project depending on which option is selected.

Council discretion to proceed based on options proposed. Option A: Proceed as designed with the cascading detention basins. Option B: Proceed with pursuing an agreement for Off-Site Retention Basin near Rattlesnake Wash.
