The City Council will hold its Fall strategic planning retreat on October 13-14, 2026, to discuss key focus areas and priorities: 1. Recurring funding sources and fiscal responsibility; 2. Infrastructure such as street conditions, water service line replacements, and facility improvements; 3. Securing water resources and water sustainability; and 4. Economic development opportunities, including the FAA land release area at the Industrial Park, Kingman Crossing Traffic Interchange, business retention and attraction, as well as community, state, and federal partnerships. Other topics that may be discussed are employee retention, livability, service optimization, economic prosperity, communications, partnerships (internal and external), and culture.
