Staff has begun planning for the City of Kingman’s 75th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled for January 21, 2027, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A proposed event framework has been developed that includes several options for the main event attraction, along with historical displays, City department participation, family activities, food, community recognition, contests, and other anniversary-themed programming.
To help offset the costs associated with the celebration, staff has also developed a proposed sponsorship program with opportunities ranging from $250 to $5,000. The program would allow staff to actively solicit sponsorships from local businesses, organizations, and community partners interested in supporting the City’s 75th Anniversary Celebration.
Council is being asked to review and approve the proposed event planning direction, select a preferred main event option, approve the proposed sponsorship program, and authorize staff to solicit sponsorships for the celebration.
The fiscal impact to the City will depend on the event option selected by Council and the amount of sponsorship revenue received.
