Discussion Regarding Business Related Development Fees
A discussion related to fees in the City's Appendix A. Fee Schedule, which are levied on businesses, at the request of Council Member Blake Barger. A summary chart of fees associated with businesses in the form of annual 'permits' is included with this item for reference, with any relevant notes on the listed fee.
Current business-related fees include:
Sexually Oriented Business – $250 application fee; $1,250 annual license
Business License – $50 initial; $25 renewal
Contractor Registration – $150 annual; $75 early renewal
Day Nursery/Kindergarten Permit – $75
Retail Food Establishment Permit:
1–5 employees – $100
6–19 employees – $125
20+ employees – $150
Second reinspection – $100/$125/$150 based on number of employees
Operating without a permit – 50% of applicable permit fee
Oil and Gas Well Permit – $5,000
Peddlers/Solicitors/Itinerant Vendors – $50 first applicant; $25 each additional applicant
Taxicab Permit – $50
Massage Business – $150 annually
Masseurs – $25 annually
Massage Business Secondary Location – $75 annually
Coin-Operated Machines – $15 each annually
Pool Tables – $15 each
Mining Permit – $250
