Resolution R2026-58 Authorizing a (5) Five-Year Contract for Municipal Sludge Transport and Disposal Services to Texas Disposal Systems, Inc. (TDS); Authorizes the City Manager to Execute the Contract and Related Documents; and Provides an Effective Date
Residual solids (sludge) generated by the City’s wastewater treatment process must be hauled to an authorized disposal facility. For the past five (5) years, Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) has provided this service for El Campo, hauling this waste to the Needville landfill.
The City issued a Request for Proposals on September 9, 2026, for Municipal Sludge Transport and Disposal Services, with proposals due September 24, 2026. One proposal was received from Texas Disposal Systems, Inc. (TDS). The proposed Resolution R2026-58 authorizes a five-year contract with TDS beginning October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2031, and authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement and related documents.
