CONSIDERATION OF AND ACTION ON
Resolution R2026-64 Approving a Development Agreement Between HMK Investments and the City of El Campo for the Remainder of That Certain 75.17 Acre Tract Described in Deed Recorded at Volume 985, Page 324, of the Official Records of Wharton County, Texas and Shown on the Survey Plat and Field Notes Attached as Exhibit A-1 Hereto, LESS That Certain 10.005 Acre Tract Being Annexed as Shown on the Plat and Fields Notes Attached Hereto as Exhibit A-2; and Authorizing the City Manager of the City of El Campo to Execute All Documents Related to Said Agreement
At the direction of legal counsel, a development agreement for the remainder of the 75.17 (less 10 acres presented for voluntary annexation under Ordinance 2026-16) has been presented to the trustee & partners of HMK Investments in exchange for consideration of voluntary annexation of said 10 acres. This Development Agreement has been approved and executed by said trustee and partners stating the owners of said remaining acreage agree to voluntary annexation should the agriculture use of this property cease with any development, including subdivision of the land. Should any development occur, the remaining acreage would be voluntarily annexed under an appropriate Commercial zoning designation for the Highway 59/I-69 corridor at the time of annexation.
