Grant Agreement 27SRP03 with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for the Lift Station 08 Relocation

EXPLANATION:

Grant funding will reimburse the City for construction services, which include demolition of existing Lift Station 08 and building a new submersible pump station approximately 9 feet higher in elevation located at 1310 4th Ave. W. The new Lift Station 8 will be constructed to exceed minimum flood-resistant construction standards of the Florida Building Code and FEMA floodplain requirements, with the wet well built above the 100-year floodplain elevation and critical electrical equipment and bypass pump systems elevated an additional 1.5 feet.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Through State Appropriation Grant, the City will be reimbursed up to $3,000,000 for the reconstruction of LS08 (50% match). The City will match $2,000,000 using impact fees.
