EXPLANATION:

In September of 2018 the City of Bradenton contracted with OnSolve, LLC to utilize the CodeRed emergency alert notification system to disseminate important messages to citizens regarding the safety, property, or welfare of the Committee. On September 13, 2018 City Council adopted Resolution 18-61 establish a Policy to memorialize the procedures to be followed when sending said messages.

On June 11, 2026 the City decided to change to the Everbridge Emergency Alert notification system and entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida Department of Emergency Management allowing the City to utilize the Everbridge Emergency notification system at no cost to the City. This resolution revises the emergency alert policy and procedures to memorialize any new procedures required under the Memorandum of Understanding.
