Consider request from Cherokee Area Transit Service (CATS) for updates to the CATS Title VI Plan.

As a recipient of funds from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for public transit, Cherokee Area Transit Services (CATS) is required to adopt and maintain a Title VI plan. The plan relates to the Civil Rights Act and prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.

CATS staff reviews the plan annually for any necessary federal updates. This year, there were some minor formatting revisions and some text changes required to the document. The CATS Title VI point of contact was also updated.
