Consider request from Senior Services to renew Master Professional Services Agreements with All Ways Caring HomeCare and Senior Helpers for personal care, homemaker, and respite services to eligible Cherokee County residents.
Senior Services currently contracts with All Ways Caring HomeCare and Senior Helpers to provide personal care, homemaker, and respite services that help seniors maintain their independence and remain in their homes. Maintaining agreements with both providers ensures continuity of services when one is unavailable due to staffing limitations or scheduling conflicts.
For FY2026 (October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026), expenditures totaled $62,091.25 for All Ways Caring HomeCare and $93,269.50 for Senior Helpers. Senior Services anticipates expenditures will increase for both providers in FY2027.
The proposed Master Professional Services Agreements will replace the existing agreements and continue the County's established relationships with both providers on an as-needed basis.
Funding for these programs comes primarily from Older American grants.
Funding for FY2027 is $256,224.26 from grants with a county match of $35,000. These funds are included in the FY2027 Senior Services annual operating budget.
