City of Holly Springs NC (Neighborhood Commercial) to Cherokee County NC (Neighborhood Commercial)

This parcel was originally annexed into the City of Holly Springs by way of the 2021 annexation A-02-2021. The parcel is currently zoned NC within the City of Holly Springs. The church on the property, Rising Hills Church, has reached out to County staff to indicate plans to develop the site. They indicate that these development plans will require Cherokee County NC zoning.
The Board of Commissioners wish to rezone the two properties to Cherokee County NC (Neighborhood Commercial) in response to House Bill 1029 deannexing the properties from the City of Holly Springs.
