Consider request to hold a public hearing on November 17, 2026 to consider an update to the List of Roads for the Ordinance Regulating No Thru Trucks in Cherokee County.

The ordinance regulating No Thru Trucks in Cherokee County was originally adopted by the Board of Commissioners in July 2015 and last updated on November 18, 2025.

Since then the County has received and investigated requests to restrict the following County roads to large truck through traffic:

Update Union Hill Road – Lower Union Hill Road to Fulton County Line
Arbor Hill Road
Worley Road
Pine Lane
Dogwood Drive
South McCollum Drive – Univeter Road to Sunset Drive
Ivey Drive
Brick Mill Road
Lower Scott Mill Road
Lawson Drive
Brittany Drive
Pea Ridge Road
Chattin Drive (Gateway Drive to end)

The following route is to be removed from the list where large truck travel is prohibited:

North Industrial Way

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the Marshal's Office and the Engineering Department all concur on these additions and deletions to the list of roads.
