The property in question is the future location of Timothy B. Downing Park. The county is only receiving 9.98 +/- acres of the total 68.47 +/- acres of the property, this portion of the property contains multiple single-family residences and accessory structures and is mostly clear outside of a tree line along the road. The portion in question that the county is receiving was originally annexed by Holly Springs in 2023 by A-06-2023 and combined with other properties to create one large parcel, no development has occurred on this portion of the property since. The county had no objections to this annexation.
The Board of Commissioners wish to rezone part of one property located along Stringer Road to AG (General Agriculture) in response to House Bill 1029 deannexing the properties from the City of Holly Springs.
