Consider request from Recreation & Parks for a Budget Amendment to add both revenues and expenses related to the operations of nine (9) recreation sites on Allatoona Lake for FY2027.

Under the proposed agreement with the USACE and the operations plan, Cherokee County will manage the nine (9) project sites at Allatoona Lake. The attached budget amendment includes both the revenue and expenses necessary to manage these facilities. All operating and capital expenses are covered by the anticipated revenues. 

In year one, the county will use some revenue to purchase capital equipment. In subsequent years, any revenue not needed for operating expenses will be reinvested in the parks.

The addition of these parks will have a net positive impact on Cherokee Recreation & Parks cost recovery through fees and charges.
