Consider request from Planning & Zoning Department for acceptance of the permanent conservation easement for the Shallow Waters Conservation Design Community. 

Under the Conservation Design Community ordinance, the greenspace area must be protected with a perpetual conservation easement. Cherokee County is the grantee of the easement. Cherokee County does not take ownership of the conservation area but has the ability to take action should there be any encroachments or infringements upon the greenspace.   More detail concerning these requirements can be found in the Zoning Ordinance, Article 23, Section 23.6-9, Legal Instrument for Permanent Protection.

Shallow Waters is located on Arnold Mill Road west of the intersection with Turner Road.
