Various valve actuators at the East Water Treatment Plant have reached the end of their expected service life and require replacement. This agenda item seeks approval of a contract for installation associated with replacing various valve actuators at the facility. The replacement parts were previously purchased by the city and are on hand.
The valve actuator replacement project is a multi-year project, and this is the last round of replacements at the east plant.
The contract is based on the city's standard template.
This work is noted in the 5-yr CIP, see attached project sheet.
Public Works staff solicited quotes for the replacement of the valve actuators. Two quotes were returned, with MN Mechanical Solutions Inc. being the low quote.
