The City of Buda (City) is partnering with the Buda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) to develop and distribute a magazine that highlights Buda's businesses and attractions, aiming to recruit new businesses, inform residents and visitors about existing businesses, and support the expansion of local enterprises. 

The City is also partnering with the BEDC to develop the Southbound Concert Series and the Railcar Revival Music Festival to highlight and promote Buda and to attract visitors to visit and support Buda businesses for the purposes of developing new and expanded business enterprises. 

This agreement was originally entered into in 2025. In 2026, the City and EDC have verbally agreed to operate differently. Adoption of this will formalize that verbal discussion. Under the updated terms, the Buda EDC will be financially responsible for the Southbound Concert Series and the City will be financially responsible for the Railcar Revival Music Festival.

Under the updated terms for Fiscal Year 2026:

• The City will contribute up to $20,000 to the Buda EDC for the Buda Magazine that is produce in coordination between the City, Greater Buda Chamber of Commerce, and the Buda EDC.
• The $48,000 City contribution for the Southbound Concert Series will be retained by the City and applied to the Railcar Revival Music Festiveal.
• The City and Buda EDC will name each other as co-sponsors and help promote the Southbound Concert Series and the Railcar Revival Music Festival.

Pros: continues the partnership between the City of Buda and Buda EDC to promote and market Buda, supports live music, and supports Buda Main Street promotions.
