Resolution
A Resolution Authorizing Change Order 1 to the City of Bozeman Pedestrian Crossing & Lighting Projects, Main Street Lighting Design Package 3.
The City of Bozeman Pedestrian Crossing & Lighting Projects--Main Street Lighting Design Package 3 involves pedestrian lighting improvements along Main Street as part of the Downtown Urban Renewal District’s ongoing effort to improve pedestrian safety, lighting and infrastructure within the downtown district.
Attached is a copy of the proposed resolution and Change Order No. 1 for the above-referenced project. This change order includes additional sidewalk removal and replacement, traffic control for the additional work, irrigation pipe sleeves under the new sidewalk, tree trimming adjacent to the sidewalk, and a three-calendar-day contract extension. The additional work results in a net increase of $24,899 to the Schedule IV contract amount, increasing it from $256,452 to $281,351, and extending substantial completion from 90 to 93 days. These additions were requested by the owner as necessary work associated with completion of the project.
City staff and the project engineer have reviewed these changes and associated costs and found them to be necessary and commensurate with the work involved.
