Authorize the City Manager to Sign a Notice of Award and Final Contract Documents, Once Received, to CK May Excavating, Inc., for Construction of the Cherry Drive Storm Improvements Project
STRATEGIC PLAN:
4.3 Strategic Infrastructure Choices: Prioritize long-term investment and maintenance for existing and new infrastructure.
BACKGROUND:
Attached is a copy of the Notice of Award for the above referenced project.
The project generally involves: excavation of an existing rocky open channel outfall, installation of a manhole drop structure connecting to an existing storm sewer, installation of approximately 53 linear feet of new storm sewer, and associated surface restoration.
Bids for the above-referenced project were opened August 14th, 2026 with 2 bids being submitted. The low bid was submitted by CK May Excavating, Inc., in the amount of $69,895.00 for the base bid plus miscellaneous work. Staff have reviewed the bid and recommend it for award. The Bid Tabulation for the project is attached.

The cost of this construction contract is $69,895.00. Funding has been appropriated in the FY27 budget as project STDM04.
