Ratify the City Manager's Approval for the State of Montana Department of Transportation Grant Award for the City of Bozeman Year-Round High Visibility Enforcement Program.
STRATEGIC PLAN:
BACKGROUND:
In April 2026, the Bozeman Police Department submitted a grant application to the Montana Department of Transportation for a year-round traffic enforcement officer position. Historically, the City has received this grant for officer overtime for key mobilization dates throughout the calendar year. This grant will fund one full-time position for traffic enforcement.

FISCAL EFFECTS:
Total expenditures are expected to be $134,745.22. Expenditures will be made in the General Fund and may require a future budget amendment.
